The lodge is situated on a 10 000 acre private game reserve in the renowned Tuli Block of Southern Botswana. The lodge is set on the banks of the mighty Limpopo River and each chalet has an unspoilt view of the river.
The area is famous for it's large herds of free-roaming elephants as well as zebra, wildebeest, impala, waterbuck and many others too. Lion, leopard, hyena, cheetah and wild dog also inhabit the area and are often sighted on the reserve.
The area is a rugged mix of bushveld and rocky outcrops and forms part of the greater Tuli Conservation Area in the south eastern corner of Botswana. Terrafou is approximately 4.5 hours drive from Gaborone and OR Tambo International Airport.
The lodge can accommodate up to 40 people making use of the three different camps. The more adventurous traveller can choose from 10 camping spots set of the Limpopo River.There are catering facilities at each each camp and guests can choose to self-cater or allow our chefs to prepare meals from our set menu. Terrafou has a great reputation for both traditional and modern catering.
The lodges offers game drives in open game viewer vehicles as well as bush diners after a night safari, and bush breakfasts after a morning safari. Our experienced guides are eager to share their knowledge of wildlife with guests and also introduce guests to the other, less famous, but just as amazing fauna and flora too.
